Worksheets
should be clear and uncluttered. |
|
2
|
Aim
to build the tasks up progressively, beginning with easier, closed
activities and moving to more demanding, more open-ended activities.
|
|
3
|
Number
each section and each question clearly. This makes it easier for pupils
to navigate their way through and ir also makes it easier to focus
the pupils on a particular question when you are explaining or going
through the sheet. |
|
4
|
Try
to produce an all-purpose worksheet which contains something for everyone
- perhaps a range of core activities with some extension tasks for
the more able or faster workers. The multi-functional worksheet is
also successful as it can be used in a variety of ways e.g. for initial
oral work, with perhaps some scope for reading aloud and finally for
writing. It can provide material for a number of lessons. |
|
5
|
Match the material
with the age-group. Make sure visuals are not too childish. Avoid
material which is dated or patronising.

If it works,
use it again.Share it with the rest of the department.
