Blagues - Teacher TipsThese jokes can be used in
various ways Simple translation exercises
– traditional but dull Comprehension questions -
ditto Mini Dictation - good in small doses and with some
preparation Pupils rank them in terms of
cheesiness Pupils draw a cartoon version of their favourites
and then get others in class to match the cartoon with the
joke Pupils find their own from
the Internet and translate them – try using a translation page and then
working out the proper translation in groups. (NO you are not getting a link to an on-line
translator– that would be too eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeasy !) Match a joke to a picture/
headline Give the joke with a choice
of punchline – pupils have to choose the corect joke Many jokes are written in
the present tense. Convert them to
the past. |
